Therapeutic massage
Focused work on the areas your clinician identified — usually neck, shoulders, low back or calves — at a firmer pressure, and coordinated with your treatment plan.
Pillar 03
Massage, heat, cold and quiet — the recovery side of the clinic, delivered in collaboration with the team of Doctor Shark Spa.
Well'Nest is the clinic's recovery space. It is run in collaboration with the team of Doctor Shark Spa: their therapists work here, in our building, with the same booking system and the same notes as the clinical side.
Most people use it in one of two ways — as part of a treatment plan, where massage and heat make manual therapy and exercise easier to tolerate, or on its own, as an hour of genuine rest in the middle of a working week.
Therapists are told what your clinician found, which areas to work on and which to leave alone. If you are being treated for a specific problem, that coordination is the point.
Well'Nest services are for comfort, recovery and relaxation. They are not medical treatment, they do not diagnose, and they are not offered as a cure for any condition.
What is included
Book a single service, or combine two in one visit.
Focused work on the areas your clinician identified — usually neck, shoulders, low back or calves — at a firmer pressure, and coordinated with your treatment plan.
Slower, lighter, full-body work with no clinical agenda. The one to book when the goal is simply to switch off.
Dry heat before or after treatment, which most people find makes muscles easier to work with. Sessions are kept short and you can leave whenever you want.
A short immersion in cold water, usually after sauna or training. Not suitable if you have a heart condition, uncontrolled blood pressure or are pregnant — ask us first.
Never use the cold plunge alone, and step out if you feel light-headed.
Relaxation massage with essential oils chosen with you. Tell us about allergies, sensitive skin or pregnancy and we will adjust or leave the oils out.
Warm soak, exfoliation and foot and lower-leg massage — the most-booked service among people who stand or walk all day.
A traditional warm soak with a herbal preparation, on its own or before a foot massage. Skipped if you have open wounds or a diabetic foot without medical clearance.
Gentle facial steam, often before a head-and-shoulder treatment. Comfort care, not a dermatological procedure.
Thirty focused minutes on scalp, neck and shoulders. Popular with desk workers and easy to add to a clinic appointment.
A quieter combination — massage, warmth and a dim room — chosen with people who sleep badly. It is supportive care, and we will say so if we think you need a doctor or a psychologist instead.
Not a treatment for insomnia, anxiety or depression. We are glad to help you find the right professional.
Side-lying massage with proper support, offered after the first trimester and with your obstetric care in mind. We ask about your pregnancy, and we will decline if anything suggests it is not appropriate.
Please tell us your stage of pregnancy and any complications when booking, and check with your obstetrician if you are unsure.
Gentle recovery massage in the months after birth, with positioning that respects a caesarean scar or abdominal separation. Timing depends on your delivery and your doctor's advice.
Calm, very gentle infant massage with the parent present throughout, plus practical guidance on handling and positioning. It is comfort and bonding care — not a treatment for reflux, colic or any medical condition.
A parent stays in the room for the whole session. Anything that worries you about your baby's health belongs with your paediatrician.
What a first visit looks like
Simple, and adjustable at any point.
A brief health form — pregnancy, blood pressure, skin conditions, recent surgery, allergies — so the therapist can adapt or decline safely.
Which areas to work on, how firm you want the pressure, and anything to avoid entirely.
Quiet room, your choice of music or silence. Tell the therapist at any point if you want less pressure or want to stop.
Water, time to sit, and — if you are also a clinic patient — a short note back to your clinician.
Who it suits
Tell us if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high blood pressure, a bleeding disorder, active skin infection, recent surgery or a diabetic foot. Some services will be modified and some are not appropriate.
