About

A clinic built around assessment, not guesswork

We opened in Sơn Trà to give Đà Nẵng a musculoskeletal clinic that works the way clinics work in Europe: measure first, explain in plain language, treat conservatively, and hand the patient a plan they can run themselves.

Our story

How the clinic started

It began with a simple gap: patients in Đà Nẵng could find massage easily, and hospitals for serious problems — but very little in between for the ordinary mechanical pain that stops people working, training and sleeping.

Danang Chiropractic Clinic was set up to fill that middle ground. We started with one chiropractic room and a movement screen. As patients kept needing more than one discipline, the clinic grew into six departments, a rehabilitation floor and the Pilat'Nest Pilates studio upstairs, all working from a single shared patient file.

Today the clinic serves Vietnamese families, expatriate residents and visitors, in several languages. What has not changed is the sequence: assess, explain, treat, re-test. If we cannot show you a measurable change, we change the plan rather than repeating it.

The team

Clinicians

Every clinician here works to the same rule: explain what you found, say what you do not know, and never oversell a treatment.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr Edouard Sabourdy, DC

Founder · Chiropractic, movement screening and integrative musculoskeletal care

French-trained Doctor of Chiropractic practising in Đà Nẵng. His work centres on musculoskeletal screening and assessment — orthopaedic testing, functional movement screening in the FMS/SFMA tradition, and digital posture analysis — combined with manual therapy and progressive loading.

  • Manual therapy: joint mobilisation and manipulation, Mulligan and Maitland-informed technique
  • Movement screening and return-to-sport progression
  • Scoliosis assessment and monitoring, insole prescription
  • Speaks French, English and working Vietnamese
Traditional Chinese Medicine

Dr Thuy

Traditional Chinese Medicine · Acupuncture, cupping and herbal consultation

Dr Thuy leads the TCM department, bringing Vietnamese traditional medicine (Đông y) and Chinese medicine practice into the clinic's musculoskeletal work. She treats pain patterns with acupuncture and dry needling, and advises on herbal and lifestyle support.

  • Acupuncture and dry needling for musculoskeletal pain
  • Cupping, gua sha and moxibustion
  • Herbal consultation with written guidance
  • Speaks Vietnamese and English

Philosophy

Five things we hold to

Assess before you treat

No treatment starts before a history, a red-flag screen and objective testing. If we cannot name what we are treating, we do not treat it.

Explain it plainly

You should be able to repeat your diagnosis to your family in one sentence. If our explanation needs jargon, it is not a good explanation.

Load beats rest

Most musculoskeletal tissue recovers better with graded loading than with rest. Manual therapy and modalities exist to make that loading possible.

Fewer visits, done properly

We would rather see you eight times with a clear endpoint than indefinitely. Every plan has a re-test date and an exit.

Know the limits

Chiropractic and rehabilitation do not treat disease. We screen for what needs a doctor, and refer without hesitating.

Respect traditional medicine

Đông y is part of how Vietnam looks after itself. We integrate it honestly — as symptom management inside a plan, never as a promised cure.

Technology

What we measure, and how

Technology in this clinic is there to produce numbers we can compare over time — not to impress anyone.

  • Digital posture & gait analysis — photographic and video analysis producing a written report you keep
  • Scoliometer & Cobb angle tracking — trunk rotation readings and X-ray review logged at each re-measurement
  • Foot pressure & footprint scanning — used for insole decisions and footwear advice
  • DTS spinal decompression, HILT laser, shockwave — parameters recorded per session so a course can be reviewed
  • Digital patient records — one shared file across all six departments, with online booking through Jane
  • Written home programs — every patient leaves with their exercises documented, not remembered

Languages

You can be treated in your own language

Clinical care depends on understanding each other. Our team consults in English, Vietnamese and French, and we arrange translation support for Russian, Korean and Italian patients. This website is being translated into all six languages — sections still in English are marked while that work is completed.
