Movement is the half of care that lasts

Pilat'Nest is our own studio, one floor above the clinic. Instructors and clinicians talk to each other, so a patient coming out of treatment can move straight into supervised movement without repeating their history or starting from scratch.

You do not have to be a patient. Classes and private sessions are open to anyone, and plenty of members have never set foot in the clinic.

Group sizes are deliberately small — enough people for atmosphere, few enough that an instructor can correct you.

What is included

What runs in the studio

Four formats, one instruction standard.

Yoga

Breath, mobility and controlled strength in accessible sequences. Positions are modified for stiff hips, sensitive necks and low-back pain — say something at the start and the instructor will adapt.

Pilates

Mat and reformer work on trunk control, breathing and precise movement. The clinic's first choice for people coming out of low-back or neck treatment, and the format most patients continue with.

Bungee Gym

Suspended training on an overhead bungee: high effort, lower joint load, and a genuinely enjoyable way to build conditioning. Screened first, and not suitable in pregnancy, with shoulder instability or with uncontrolled blood pressure.

Weight and height limits apply for safety — ask when booking your first session.

Barre

Small-range, high-repetition work at the barre for hips, thighs and shoulders, set to music. Demanding on endurance rather than on joints, and easy to scale up or down.

What a first visit looks like

Starting at the studio

One short screening, then straight into sessions.

Movement screening

Fifteen minutes with an instructor — or your clinic assessment if you are already a patient — so we know what to progress and what to protect.

Choose a format

Private sessions to learn the basics or work around an injury; small groups once you are confident with the movements.

First sessions

Expect corrections. The first few sessions are about technique, breathing and control rather than intensity.

Progression

Load, range and complexity increase as your control improves, and clinic patients are reviewed alongside their treatment plan.

Who it suits

Who this pillar suits

  • Patients finishing treatment who need to keep the gains
  • Desk workers who want structured movement twice a week
  • Runners and gym-goers looking for trunk control and mobility
  • People returning to exercise after a long break, pregnancy or injury
  • Anyone who prefers being coached over training alone

Tell your instructor about pregnancy, recent surgery, hypermobility, shoulder instability or blood-pressure problems, and sessions will be adapted.
