What chiropractic care looks like here

Chiropractic is manual treatment of the spine and joints combined with exercise and advice. In this clinic it always starts with an examination: history, orthopaedic and neurological screening, movement testing and, where useful, a posture and gait scan.

Treatment can include joint mobilisation and adjustment, soft-tissue work, dry needling, and physiotherapy modalities such as DTS decompression, high-intensity laser or shockwave. What we use depends on the findings, not on a fixed protocol.

The aim is measurable: less pain, better movement, and a return to the activity that matters to you — with a home programme so the result holds after care ends.

Chiropractic is conservative care. It does not treat infections, fractures, tumours or systemic disease, and we refer to a medical doctor when the examination points that way.

What is included

The five services in this pillar

Each is used on its own or combined inside one plan.

Chiropractic

Examination and manual treatment of the spine, pelvis and peripheral joints for neck pain, back pain, headaches of cervical origin, and joint restrictions. Sessions include the exercises and load advice that keep the change.

Dry needling

Fine needles into muscular trigger points to reduce local tension and sensitivity. Usually a short addition to a manual session rather than a treatment on its own. Bruising and short-term soreness are the common side effects.

Rehabilitation & physiotherapy

Supervised exercise, loading progressions and modalities — DTS spinal decompression, high-intensity laser and shockwave therapy — for tendon problems, disc-related pain, post-injury recovery and return to sport.

Scoliosis treatment

Structured assessment with posture photographs and Cobb-angle monitoring from existing imaging, mobility and derotation work, and scoliosis-specific exercise in the Schroth tradition. We refer for bracing or a surgical opinion when the curve calls for it.

Exercise and manual care aim to improve function, pain and postural control. They are not a guaranteed way to reduce a curve.

Feet assessment & custom-made insoles

Foot and gait assessment for flat feet, plantar heel pain and knee or hip complaints coming from the foot. Footwear advice first, then over-the-counter or custom-made insoles with a fitting and a comfort review.

What a first visit looks like

Your first visit, step by step

About an hour, and you leave knowing what we found.

History

What happened, what makes it better or worse, your work, training and medical background, and what you want to get back to.

Examination

Orthopaedic and neurological screening, joint and movement testing, and a posture or gait scan where it adds information.

Report of findings

We explain what we think is going on in plain language, what we can and cannot help with, and what the plan and cost look like.

First treatment

If nothing needs referral first, treatment starts in the same visit and you leave with one or two exercises.
